Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso 90th anniversary special Tribute edition in burgundy red
Jaeger-LeCoultre reinterprets one of the most revered icons as it celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2021. The Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano is released in a limited edition, in a burgundy-red dial and pink gold case.
The Reverso was established in 1930, at the height of Art Deco, to satisfy the requirements of this newly trendy “sporting man – the polo player, in particular. It has become one of the most recognisable watches worldwide, an icon in the true meaning of the word, a masterful combination of form and function with its clean lines and flip-over case.

Just after its launch, as tastemakers from all walks of life embraced the Reverso, new changes emerged. Before the first anniversary of Reverso, coloured dials were laid to contrast strongly with the case metal by adding to its smooth symmetry a note of exuberance. The early use of colour, in this limited edition, enriches Reverso’s work further.
Design details
The hours on the front dial are indicated by straight indices, doubled by 12 in accordance with the original Reverso style. Its facets give the rich red-burgon lacquered surface a visual dimension, echoing the shape of the hands of Dauphine. The circular track of the small seconds display at 6:30 gives the linear geometry of the dial and case a counterpart.
The conception of the reverse dial plays anchored by contrasting ornamental finishes on the tension between circles and straightlines. Clous de Paris’ stippling texture contrasts with its gleaming opaline finish and the smaller circle showing the signs for day and night.
The warm tones of the pink gold case complementing the two-tone strap balance each dial treatment. Inspired by the canvas and leather boots made for the summer polo, Casa Fagliano has mixed cordovan leather and canvas with the latest harness - every piece as usual, is made by hand.
