LALIQUE introduces a new edition of the iconic Epis ring to be sold exclusively at The Metropolitan Museum of Art Store in celebration of the upcoming exhibition, Jewelry: The Body Transformed. Opening November 12, 2018, at The Met Fifth Avenue.

This dazzling exhibition will feature some 230 items— headdresses and ear ornaments, brooches and belts, necklaces and rings from antiquity to the present day along with sculptures, paintings, prints, and photographs—that will enrich and amplify the many stories of transformation that jewelry tells. Included in this exquisite array of historical objects are a pendant, brooch, necklace, lorgnette and chain created by René Lalique.

Inspired by 1931 Hand Engraved Ring

The Epis ring draws inspiration from a 1931 hand-engraved ring depicting two ears of wheat by René Lalique in The Met collection. This sapphire blue solid crystal ring with the Epis motif is hand engraved by Lalique artisans and can be found only at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Store. In addition to the Epis ring, icons from the LALIQUE line including cabochon rings in cap ferrat, red and amber crystal as well as select items from LALIQUE’s Hirondelles and Muguet jewelry collections will be offered for sale.

To wear the solid crystal ring comfortably, Lalique advises choosing one size larger than your usual finger size. The complete collection is available for purchase at The Met Fifth Avenue, online at
