The history of Zuber & Cie is the history of wallpaper.
The French company since 1797 still produces wallpapers using the traditional woodblock engraving method and the actual woodblocks from 1797 and 1830 in the printing process – they are the last company in the world to use this 18th century technique. Their archives contain 150,000 woodblocks stored in their medieval cellars; each one is a piece of history and they are actual historic monuments, part of the French heritage. To own this wallpaper is to own a piece of French heritage and history.
