Madyha Farooqui Jewelry designs are recognized for their daring combinations of color and texture, merging modern attitude with an updated traditional aesthetic.
Her pieces are distinctive and possess a timelessly glamor, jewels that convey personal styleof the wearer and aim to be treasured heirlooms. Bold, spectacular pieces in her collection feature gemstones such as her signature malachite, lapis, opals, aquamarines, rubies and emeralds, as well as fossils and geodes set alongside more delicate glimmering diamonds.
Along side spectacular and indulgent pieces her collection includes uniquely set diamond pavé and casually elegant gemstone pieces that work as beautifully with for dressing up or daily fashion. Each piece is designed by Madyha and handmade by her team of craftsmen located in New York City, Hong Kong & Jaipur – many in her team are fourth-generation jewelry makers.
About Jewelry Designer Madyha Farooqui
Madyha was raised in New York City while traveling the world as the daughter of a U.N. diplomat. Her summers were filled with exhilarating travel, continent hopping around the world to places including London, Paris, Rome, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Delhi, Lahore, Singapore, Tokyo, Cairo and Khartoum. Her passion is jewelry, having spent a lifetime inheriting and collecting jewelry, as well as textiles and art from all over the globe. She always knew she would work in the fashion industry in some capacity long before she comprehended what that was. With a Bachelor of Science from Smith College and an Associate Degree in Fashion Design at Parson’s School of Design, Madyha began her career by joining the fashion department at Cosmopolitan Magazine, speding the next five years covering designer markets, editing and styling trend pages and fashion shoots.
She departed several years later to strike out on her own, starting a consultancy, where she merged her skills as a fashion editor, stylist, and designer with her exposure to international design and manufacturing, to work on design, development and sourcing for others. As the head of her own consultancy, she continues to work on special projects in design and branding for many noted emerging fashion brands, private equity firms and investors. Madyha’s jewelry line had remained exclusive to private clients until one day, while consulting for a major luxury retailer, a show of her curation of jewels was held during which the entire season’s worth of a collection sold out in just ten days. Motivated by this enthusiastic reception of private clients, Madyha expanded in 2012 to officially launch her fine jewelry collection while continuing to work with private clients and some exclusive international fashion retailers.
