Bagpad is the brainchild of Marielle Kangasniemi, a native of Finland, relocated to London after completing her studies in Business and Economics to pursue a career in Luxury Brand Management at Istituto Marangoni. She worked with luxury companies including Armani, Max Mara, Roland Mouret, and Amanda Wakeley throughout her fast-paced career in London. The inspiration came as she started buying more expensive purses, realised that they needed something to keep them in shape when they weren’t in use, to prevent the material from wrinkling and becoming destroyed. She couldn’t find anything more exquisite beyond the existing use of plastic or tissue paper after doing some research. Surprisingly, even the most prestigious luxury labels continue to sell new purses that are stuffed with plastic or paper. She felt this needed to change and in a quest to create her own business, set about bringing her idea to life and solution to the aid of luxury handbags around the world.
