The Maison Jeeper story began in 1949, but their wine growing roots were planted in the 18th century. When Armand Goutorbe, son of Victor Goutorbe, arrived back from the Second World War in 1949, he decide to produce and sell his Champagne. He christened his brand Champagne JEEPER, with an intent to making himself stand out from the many wine growers of the region who also bore the name Goutorbe, and the name referred to the Jeep, a gift from local authorities to help him more easily ascend the vineyard slopes. Champagne Jeeper largely carries out its operations at the Faverolles and Coëmy site, near Reims, in the north west of the Champagne Region. With family roots that run as deep as those of champagne itself, their first known ancestor was a Frenchman named De Watère, recorded in the Doomsday Book in England in 1086, their family itself was the inspiration for creating Champagne De Watère. The De Watère family started making champagne for themselves, exclusively for the their use; champagne has always played an important role in the family, not merely as celebratory drink but more so as reason to draw them together as a family. Everything at Champagne De Watère – from harvesting the grapes to making the cases – is done purely by hand of expert craftsmen. Champagne De Watère, Diamond Edition In 2011, they released Champagne De Watère to commemorate 925 years of tradition and to share their love for this extraordinary wine. The inspiration has been to honour unity and solidarity, the values they hold in the highest esteem.…

Maison Gardet, Epernay was founded in the late 19th century by shopkeeper and adventurous man Charles Gardet. His son Georges Gardet moved into a Belle Epoque residence in Chigny-les-Roses in the 1930s with the very precise aim to develop the Champagne Gardet brand, whilst continuing to supply wines of unimpeachable quality. He focused his methods on the secular champagne making rules: a high-quality grape supply and winemaking process fully oriented towards excellence. His intention to respect this tradition is still at the heart of the current owners preoccupations – the Prieux family. They carry on this fine tradition, and with attachment to their roots and to the Champagne region, the family has been working in the arboricultural and agricultural for years; passing on their love for the land from generation to generation. These values have shaped the family spirit, which is now perpetuated by Christophre Prieux, President of Maison Gardet…
