The Frame Chair made its impressive appearance at this fall’s MAISON&OBJET trade fair in Paris, Sept. 6-10, 2013.
It was selected and debuted at the “funt@sy” Trends Forum where the best of the new chic and striking, quirky and disrespectful, bold and provocative design tendencies were presented.
Curator of the inspirational exhibition (one of the three, staged by MAISON&OBJET under the common “Energies” theme) was monsieur Vincent Gregoiré for the NellyRodi Agency
The Frame Chair represents a huge baroque frame in which you can sit. Luxurious and extravagant, bold and brimming with personality, the chair sets up an exciting ambiance and an exclusive atmosphere. Impressive with its dimensions (180cms height/ 85kgs weight), but surprisingly comfortable, its surreal concept draws the attention. Given the right place, illumination and affection, the Frame Chair can be incorporated into any environment- classic, modern or contemporary.
We can just imagine this chair gracing spaces such as exclusive clubs, for concert or theatre halls, enlightening any hotel, office building or restaurant lobby space, positioned as a couture accent in any private interior, the Frame Chair is an invitation to luxurious, but decadent performance.
The Frame Chair is an exclusive handcrafted product. The hand carved frame, made of solid lime-tree wood is gilded with metal leaves in either silver or gold color. The lush velvet upholstery complements the baroque frame. The product was designed as an armchair, but it can be customized into couch versions.
