looking out at the safari kempinski

There is a reason that an African safari sits high in priority on most people’s bucket list.

I have had a lot of adventures in my lifetime but this was exciting and thrilling on a totally different level. I woke up early in the Masai Mara, hatched out of my luxury tent, and hopped into the vehicle to adventure. The Land Cruisers have no obstructed views and are open-air, so you feel right in the middle of things. What was great about this particular safari is it is very private, not like the more crowded tourist routes with a line of cars. The animals are in their natural environment, free to roam and are prevalent. Along my ride I saw buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, antelope, elephants and my favorite, the warthog. Something about the warthog walking like it had a specific place to be appealed to me.

The wind felt great zipping through the landscape and loved the colorful sunset over the savannah to cap off the day. In addition to the day safari there is also a night safari. This was a most thrilling experience. Animal sounds can be heard all around in the darkness and we were viewing our surroundings by only infrared light. We watched lions playing mere feet from our vehicle and that’s when I was sure not to think about lions feeding at night. You can see this exhilarating moment in this safari video. I recommend this safari to anyone looking for a memorable vacation and adventure. Plus, after all of it, I was able to stay in nature but return to the comfortable, glamping accommodations of the Olare Mara Kempinski Masai Mara.
