Champagne Forever – Ultra Limited Edition
To celebrate 180 years of making fine wines, the de Venoge champagne house is issuing a special 1996 vintage cuvee christened Louis d’Or.
This ultra-limited edition of the famous cuvee Louis XV, its bottle entirely clad in gold, is truly a gem with a grace and elegance that will delight the privileged few who have the pleasure of tasting it. A mere 1837 bottles will be available.
A Tribute to the Father of Champagne
The cuvee Louis XV, the house’s prestige champagne, is a tribute to the father of champagne. By authorising the sale and transport of the wines from Champagne in bottles in 1728, King Louis XV allowed in-bottle secondary fermentation, thereby creating the effervescence that champagne is known for. And a legend was born. For each great vintage, de Venoge produces a cuvee Louis XV in a precious bottle in honour of the Great King.
Dressed in Gold for the Occasion
This year, to celebrate this exceptional anniversary, the Louis XV has been transformed into the Louis d’Or, resplendent in its stunning golden dress specially created for the occasion. From an exceptional vintage – 1996 – and composed exclusively of Grand Crus, it offers a perfect balance of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Its sumptuous robe glints with magnificent golden glimmers. The nose is unique, both subtle and voluptuous. With its complex palate, the Louis d’Or reveals a paradox of aromas, at once refined and intense, fresh and mellow, with the infinite persistence that is the true signature of an exceptional champagne.

This ultra-limited edition is offered in a precious blue and gold case, the colours of King Louis XV and the Maison de Venoge.
