Trio ZOOM is one of Denmark’s leading modern-classical ensembles based in Copenhagen. The trio unite s three charismatic and virtuosic soloists in bringing out vibrant chamber music with new sounds and expressive body language.
The modern classical Trio is comprised of, Tanja Zapolski on piano, Stefan Baur on saxophone and Ying-Hsueh Chen on percussion.
Trio Zoom Musical Vision
Trio ZOOM’s vision is to reignite chamber music in a fusion of both love for the tradition and real future innovation. Trio Zoom’s full dedication for music results in their dynamic group energy, and the trio’s diverse and well-composed program packages give audiences unforgettable and inspiring concert experiences. Their varied repertoire not only includes classical and contemporary music, but also folklore music from among others Asia, Balkan and Argentina.
Established composers such as Alexander Zapolski, Karsten Fundal, and Fuzzy have dedicated their works to Trio ZOOM.
The musical press (Randers Avisen) writes, “ …there was an overall great spirit, deep sensitivity and intimate engagement within all instruments. Yes, there was a real intense excitement about the music which essentially reminds us (to quote Serbian filmdirector Kusturica) that “ Life is a miracle.”
Extensive Live Concerts
Formed in 2003 in its unique constellation, Trio Zoom has extensive concert activities in Denmark and abroad. Their performances flourish in Danish chamber music associations, new music associations, church concerts, and music festivals of all kinds such as Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Hindsgavl Festival, Frederi ksværk Music Festival, and Roskide Festival, to name a few. Their international engagements include a performance in Russia’s most prestigious concert venue -Grand hall in Moscow and concert series in Probaltica Music Festival in Poland. Last but not least, they have appeared in role of stars in the Gala Concert of International Competition of Contemporary Chamber Music in Krakow.
